Sunday School

Every new school year, beginning in September and ending in May, children from age 3 through the fifth grade are invited to participate in Sunday school, which begins as part of the Sunday morning worship service at 9:30am.  Through interactive activities, Children learn the stories of the Bible and how they connect with God’s love and Jesus Christ in their lives.  The Sunday school children also participate in a Christmas program as part of the worship service every December.  Are you new to the area and looking for a place to worship and your children to learn about God? Please know that you are invited to join us anytime throughout the school year for Sunday school.  Being new to the area doesn’t mean that you need to wait until the next school year to join us.

Quilter's Group

Every fourth Tuesday of the month, we invite all who feel called to use their gifts of sewing, knitting, and stitching to gather at the church to make quilts, prayer shawls, and other hand-made items.  We give prayer shawls locally to our neighbors as a reminder of God’s love, comfort, and care.  The quilts that are made are sent overseas through Lutheran World Relief as we participate in God’s mission of caring for our neighbor throughout the world. We also give to the homeless and needy in our own community and the communities around us. We do make some smaller items, too, and we sell those items to support this ministry of the church.  As we work diligently together, we share and enjoy fellowship with one another.  Come join us!

Women's Bible Study

On the second Tuesday of each month, we host a women’s Bible study.  The focus of the study is to explore God’s Word, one book of the Bible at a time.  We read together and ask questions of the biblical text.  Making sense of scripture isn’t easy when we try to do it alone.  Here we invite all who attend to share their perspectives on what stands out and what is significant and meaningful in what we are reading together.  We understand ourselves to be a true learning community, listening to and respecting the voices of one another.  We invite you to join us.  We would love to hear your voice too.

Currently not meeting until we secure a new pastor.

Men's Breakfast & Bible Study

On Wednesday mornings, we host a men’s breakfast and a Bible study.  The men take turns cooking breakfast in the church kitchen. Not called to cook?  No problem.  You are welcome to bring some groceries and let someone else do the cooking.  After the meal, we spend time studying the Gospel lesson for the upcoming Sunday.  We ask a lot of questions and explore and wonder, “What does this mean for us?”  If you have questions about the Gospel and want to dig deeper, join us on Wednesday mornings.  Taste the food and be fed with God’s Word.

Lunch and Literature
(Book Club)

Hainesville Lunch and Literature Discussion Group (a.k.a. Book Club).

We meet the first Tuesday of every month here at the church to discuss a book that is picked by the group.  The discussion is led by a different group member each month.  We normally meet for an hour and a half. Like to read? Like to discuss what you have read and get different perspectives?  If so, please consider attending our next discussion.  All are welcome!

Family Choir

Come join us.  All are welcome as reading music is a plus, but not a necessity.  If you love to sing and praise the Lord we would love to see you.  We practice on the first Saturday of the month most times to sing on the second Sunday. We will be taking the summer off, but will be back in September.

Confirmation & Youth

The confirmation age students have the opportunity to do their studies here at Hainesville.  We are currently offering a two year program where our youth have the opportunity to learn and grow in God's love and promise for their lives.  After confirmation, high school age youth are invited to attend and participate in youth events at Bay View.  As Hainesville continues to grow, our hope is to reciprocate by hosting youth events at Hainesville with all high school youth from the area welcome to attend.

Weddings

Nestled in the countryside with fields, forests, and bodies of water nearby, Hainesville Lutheran Church has been the site of picturesque country weddings.  For some, it has been a wedding destination. There is rich history in the beautiful sanctuary of the church.  The fellowship hall is large enough for a reception and the kitchen robust enough to have a meal at the church. The most recent addition to the church grounds is an outdoor pavilion that could also be utilized as part of a wedding celebration. If you are interested in having your wedding at Hainesville Lutheran Church, please contact the church office at 920-743-9806.  Click here for the facilities use information and agreement forms.
